Biography

Olivier Dauriat pursued a rich course of musical studies, crowned by five first prizes at the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP).

He has since built a career as a pianist in vocal and instrumental chamber music (notably with double bassist Ulysse Vigreux in the Duo Anisan), as a solo pianist, in piano duet (Duo Saltarelle with Anne Rancurel) and on two pianos (with Olivier Besnard). He also creates shows (“Le violon d’Hercule”, “C’est la mer qui prend l’homme”) and works as an arranger and composer (for the Opéra de Rouen’s chamber music concerts, for the show “D’une rive à l’autre, du courage à la liberté” and for the Grenoble University Choir).

A vocal coach and guest pianist from 2007 to 2017 at the National Academy of Music in Sofia (Bulgaria) and for the company Carib’Opéra, Olivier Dauriat has also performed in concerts organised by the Institut Français in Morocco, at the Concerts de Vollore, the Festival en Vallée d’Olt and the Journées Ravel…

A committed teacher, Olivier Dauriat created the piano accompaniment class at the Conservatoire à rayonnement départemental du Val-Maubuée, where he has taught since 2004.

At the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP), he was a teacher and then head of the Writing, Composition and Conducting department.
