When three children refuse to go to bed, what a funny show! Mum isn’t far away, keeping watch over their sleep… Nothing is more fun than secretly defying the Sandman by making up tall tales.

Plenty of cheerful toys are there to help: a cat, turkeys, sheep, a dolphin, a duck, birds, a crow, a fox, a crayfish… and even a little fly. What if this whole enchanted menagerie started to sing?

Coming to meet the youngest

The show can be performed on a theatre stage or wherever the children spend their days: school, nursery, covered playground, gym, library… The children sit very close to the performers, in a semicircle on mats or cushions. Soft toys, a duck rubber ring, colourful origami, fairy lights and a bubble machine are all it takes to create the magic.

Programme

Mozart (“Oiseaux, si tous les ans”; Papageno–Papagena duet, The Magic Flute), Offenbach (Le Corbeau et le Renard; the duck’s couplets, L’Île de Tulipatan; the fly duet, Orpheus in the Underworld), Dvořák (Song to the Moon, Rusalka), Audran (“J’aime bien mes dindons”, La Mascotte), Messager (“De-ci de-là”, Véronique), Ravel (the cats’ duet, L’Enfant et les sortilèges), Poulenc (L’Écrevisse, Le Dauphin), Britten (Cuckoo), Saint-Saëns (Aquarium, The Carnival of the Animals) and piano improvisations

“The singers overflow with energy and smiles, managing to hold the children’s attention throughout the show […] But they also prove their fine vocal quality.” – Olyrix
